Beauty & Skincare Haul

Before I start this haul I would like to say that this has all been purchased in 3 different shopping trips, I don't think I would normally buy so much all at once.
Now that is out of the way let's get started.

Balance Active Formula Hyaluronic 554 Youth Serum: £3.99
Both from B&M

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation: £8.99
All from Boots

The Perfume shop

Should have come to: £123.35
Actually came to:  £84.68
Total saving of £38.67

I won't lie I have spent a lot of money on skincare and cosmetics this month, but I would say I am ok for a few months now, I do tend to go a little overboard when I notice things are on offer, especially when I see that Boots have their 3 for 2 offer, typically I do try to go where I know something is cheaper for example I know I can get some Simple products cheaper in Wilkinsons so I will go there instead of Boots or Superdrug, to find out more about affordable skin care available at Wilkinsons check out their website

Hope you liked this haul, now I have to go hang my head in shame and not buy any more make up for the rest of the month.

Weekend Look Book Vol 5

I need to stop being so "lazy" on a Saturday, my outfits are always very casual at the moment, I originally had plans to go out for drinks with people from work but then I woke up with a headache that didn't want to leave at all so I had to pass on that.

My outfit for Saturday was acceptable in case anyone turned up or if I had to go out to the shop- thankfully neither of those happened so by 6pm I did have my pyjamas back on.
Jumper: Peacocks £9 on sale I think
Skirt: Internacionale Price unknown
Tights: Primark
Slippers: Price and where from both unknown.

Personally I do think this is something I could wear going into town for the day or meeting friends for a coffee, I would probably team this with military style boots or my cut out shoes and either my faux leather jacket or my denim jacket.

By Sunday my headache had subsided somewhat so I decided to brave going out as my family were going Ice Skating and since I have just got a new pair of skates I want to get as much use out of them as possible.
Denim Jacket: Primark £18
Black Skinny Jeans: Primark £7
Black flatform pumps: Primark £6.00
"Couture not War" top: Primark £6.00
Everything from this outfit excluding the jacket can be found on my previous post here

Hope you liked this weekends look book, maybe next week I might actually be doing something on Saturday, only time will tell.

Thank you for reading, what have you guys been up to over the weekend?

Primark Haul

It's that time again, Yes PAYDAY!
Now a few weeks ago I had a complete wardrobe clear out and got rid of 4 bags of clothes, you read that correctly 4 so I did plan on buying myself a few new items, especially after my friend pointed out that I never seem to wear jeans I knew I would be after a pair of black skinny jeans.
To justify buying new clothes I had the excuse of "but I am going out straight after work and I didn't have time to get any clothes prepared for it" (this isn't actually a lie, I got home the night before after 10pm completely frozen after waiting an hour for my bus to turn up and then that morning I was out of the house before 6am, I mean that makes it ok right?)

Now onto the haul.

I will start off with the necessary purchases first:

Basic Black Skinny jeans £7.00

Couture not War top £6.00, This is extremely sheer so I recommend a top underneath

Black Flatform Pumps £6.00

Pack of 2 Tweezers £1.00

Small double pocket shoulder Bag £6.00

Basic White T-shirt £4.00
Clueless Pyjama top £5.00

I had to restrict myself to what I really needed, granted there are some items that I didn't exactly need, like the shoes but I do know that I will wear them so it's not really money wasted.

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed this haul :)

Make Up of the Week

Yes it is time for my makeup of the week post.
As with last week I found myself sticking to one particular look for the whole week- which does make this post easier as it isn't Picture heavy.

I am still playing around with the Naked 3 palette, there hasn't been a day where I haven't used it so at least we can say it is definitely money well spent :)

Maybelline Pink Gold Color Tattoo as a base
Strange all over my lid up to the brow
Factory all over my lid
Darkside on my outer half
Blackheart in the crease and outer corner, then swept just below my lower lash line
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl liner- top and bottom waterline
Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin eyeliner pen- top lash line
Seventeen Superlash mascara in Blackest Black

BarryM Flawless Matte Finish foundation in shade 1 Ivory and GOSH X-ceptional wear foundation in shade 11 Porcelain
Seventeen Stay time 18 Hour Concealer in the lightest shade
Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder in Ivory Porcelain
Sleek Rose Gold Blusher
Chino from the MUA Ever After Matte Palette for contouring

Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel
Maybelline Browdrama in Dark Blonde

Nivea Milk & Honey Lip Balm

Ok so when I list all my products like that it does look like I use a LOT of make up, but there are some days where I wear nothing, especially if I'm not going out or doing anything.

Thank you for reading, what have been your "go-to" make up looks recently?

Weekend Look Book Vol 4

First of all sorry this is going up a day late, I went out for a meal last night and crashed out pretty much as soon as I got home.

Ok I really need to start doing something on a Saturday as they seem to be very "lazy" days for me, and that even comes across in my choice of outfit, you will see what I mean soon (and if you look at previous Look Books)

Even though my outfits are always more on the casual side of the spectrum I do make sure I wear something that I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear in public just in case I ended up going out last minute.
Slouchy Jumper- I want to say £9 from Peacocks last year
Matte wet look Leggings- £6 Primark
and the slipper boots from last weeks post.
Make up was kept very minimum, check my previous blog post for details

Ok now I am pretty embarrassed to admit Sunday was spent in my pyjamas until I had to get ready to go out for the evening so this part is more of an OotN instead of an OotD.
Red Tartan Top- £6 Primark
Grey Skinny Jeans- £10 Primark, same jeans from last weeks post
Cut out ankle boots, Jeffrey Campbell inspired- £34.99 Garage Shoes
I teamed this with a leather jacket from Primark

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I can definitely say I had a brilliant Sunday :)

Thank you for reading

Make up of the Week

Very sorry this wasn't posted yesterday, my internet connection was being extremely temperamental, luckily it is fine now so I can get this post up a day late.

This week my make up has been very minimal so I am only going to use one image as that has been the look I have been going for every day.

Like with all of these posts I used the Naked 3 palette.
Strange across the lid to the brow bone
Dust across the lid to add a little shimmer
Factory in the crease and outer third
Darkside in the crease and outer corner
Seventeen Superlash Liner on my top lash line
Seventeen Superlash Mascara
Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof liner on lower lash line
Brows were filled in using a Rimmel brow pencil
Blusher used is Rose Gold by Sleek
On my lips I have used the Nivea Milk & Honey lip balm

Thank you for reading, normally I do try to get pictures of my make up every day but when I realised that I was wearing the same look last week I figured I might as well just leave it at one picture to represent the whole week.

Dollfaceblog's giveaway haul :)

Recently the lovely Emma held an MUA cosmetics give away on her blog and I was lucky enough to win.
Getting the tweet informing me that I had won actually made my day, definitely a brilliant start to the week :D
Emma has done a post about the prizes on her blog anyway but I thought I would do one as well.

The prizes consist of:
Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow palette, I have actually owned this in the past, in fact I managed to get hold of it when it first came out before it became the sought after high street nude palette, I think this is still one of the hardest to find in most Superdrug stores.
Glitter Eye Palette in Burlesque, this is something I have wanted to try but after the fail of the NYX Glitterati palette I have remained sceptical, I have heard good reviews on these though so I am looking forward to testing this out.
Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, I'm not great with liquid eyeliner, I prefer Gel or pen but I have also heard good reviews on this so I will be trying this out, I have also heard that it is quite good for nail art so hey even if I am no good with it on my eyes it could be used on my nails :)
Lipstick Trio in Temptress, I am obsessed with red lipsticks so this is just perfect for me, this palette has 3 shades that can either be worn alone or together to add dimension to your lips.

All in all I think these prizes were very well put together, you can create a full look out of all the products together and there are so many varieties of looks you can create.

Again I would like to thank Dollface blogs for running this give away, I can't wait to get using my items :D
If you haven't already you should check out her blog, she does amazing reviews and weekend wishlist posts (and many more)

Thank you for reading

NoTD: I wish I could come up with a name for this

So I finally got round to painting my nails recently- seriously I very rarely do them, I wish I did because bare nails don't always look nice.

I am actually on to my second day of them and even after a full day at work yesterday they are still going strong, which is surprising as they can quite often start chipping almost straight away.

I used two coats of "Grey" by BarryM (which I forgot to get a picture of, but it ended up being a similar grey to the darker one in the border) then I used one coat of "Hottie" by Sinful Colors, I topped this off with my BarryM top coat.
I love the blue on top of the grey, I have a feeling it would look amazing over black or even white.
Unfortunately the glitter doesn't translate very well at all in the pictures but believe me the glitter pay off is incredible, I literally can't stop staring at my nails when the light catches them, so if you are tempted to try out the Sinful Colors glitter nail varnishes I would definitely give this one a try.
I can say that "Hottie" did try quite quick as well so that's always a bonus, I just wish all nail varnishes would dry quicker I mean shouldn't that be a "thing" in all nail varnishes these days?

If anyone has any name suggestions please do leave them in the comments below.

Weekend Look Book Vol 3

I have to apologise for the lack of "week in make up" post yesterday, due to numerous early mornings this week I didn't have suitable lighting or time to get pictures, also because of the early starts my make up has been very minimal- think (Naked 3 palette) Strange, Limit and Nooner with the odd additional colour through the crease.

Now I have my apology out of the way we can go onto my weekend Look Book.

Saturday was an extremely relaxed day, in fact I didn't actually get dressed until around 11am which for me is quite late, I did do a full face of make up just in case I went out but I did keep it minimal- Strange, Limit and Nooner with black eyeliner and mascara. My outfit consisted of
 Blondie print Jumper: £12 Primark
Grey super skinny jeans: roughly £10 Primark
Slipper Boots: unfortunately I don't know the price of these or where they were bought as they were a present.

I think Sundays might be my more productive day of the weekend, especially for the past few weekends.
Today I went Ice Skating so I wanted to go for something comfy, casual and still stylish
Unfortunately I couldn't actually get any pictures of todays events- although they would have been interesting if I had, I will just say that even though I might like Ice Skating I'm by no means a pro.
My outfit consisted of
Ramones tee: £3.00 Primark (On sale)
Grey Skinny Jeans from last weeks post
Cut out ankle boots (Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane inspired) £34.99 Garage shoes
Denim jacket- £18 Primark
My make up was the same as Saturday's only with thicker eye liner.

What have you guys been up to this weekend?

Thank you for reading.

Mini Haul: Sinful Colors

I honestly don't know what has happened to me, a while back I had very few nail varnishes but now I have over 100 (not that many compared to some but for me it's a lot right now) and I can't stop buying more.

Recently I picked up 3 more from Sinful Colors as my local Boots has started stocking them, unfortunately they don't have a proper stand for them as of right now so unless you know about them you might just walk right past them.

Typically I go for red or purple tones but for once I decided to move away from my comfort zone and chose something a little different.

L-R: "Nail Junkie" "Hottie" "Cinderella"

I can imagine that "Nail Junkie" would look brilliant over a black.

When I chose "Hottie" I may have been slightly influenced by Frozen, the blues, purples and silvers really remind me of when Elsa is singing "Let it Be".

Ideally when I chose "Cinderella" I would have used that underneath "Hottie" but after testing it out it's not really great for building up. but because of the shimmer in it I think it would look lovely over a white or grey nail.

I can't wait to try them all out, for £1.99 you can't grumble about them at all really.

Hope you liked this post, if you have tried Sinful Colors before what do you think of them and would you suggest any other colours to look at?

All Bloggers Great & Small TAG!

So I saw this on Nia's blog (The Golden Girl) and I thought I would do it, I haven't been tagged to do it but I figured it would be a bit of fun :), I guess this is a way for new bloggers to get themselves out there

1.     What makes you want to blog?
I love fashion & beauty and I just wanted somewhere where I could express my own thoughts on items and trends, also I have tried Vlogging before but that never worked out (due to many reasons none being that I don't like it) so I thought that Blogging is my next best option.

2.     Your Morning skin routine
I have a terrible morning skin routine at the moment, I use my Simple kind to skin moisturising foaming facial wash, then I use a make up wipe around my eyes, before I do my make up I use Snoxin. Hydraluron, Simple replenishing rich moisturiser and nanoblur. I do need to work out a new routine soon though

3.     Your favourite blogger?
oh god I don't know really!

4.     A beauty product you couldn’t live without?
black eyeliner

5.     Your favorite make-up brand (drugstore)?
oh, this is hard, from Superdrug I do like MUA for their eye palettes, but when it comes to Boots I do like Seventeen- they have upped their game lately, Collection is a good brand sold in both Superdrug and Boots

6.     Your favourite make-up brand (High-end)?
hmmm as someone who doesn't really use High end items I can't really say, although I do like Urban Decay, and I would LOVE to try Illamasqua

7.     What is your staple wardrobe item?
Grey Skinny jeans and a leather jacket, I don't think you can go wrong, team them with a black tank top and boots then you are good to go really.

The only specific person I will tag is
But anyone else who wants to do this then go ahead and comment below letting me know if you have done it so I can check you out :D

Thank you for reading

Weekend Look Book Vol 2

This weekend has been a VERY relaxed/casual outfit kind of weekend, sadly it wasn't because I was having a weekend of relaxation, quite the opposite in fact, my weekend has been spent having a complete bedroom clear out, I think I might be doing the "spring cleaning" thing a bit early.

So before I ramble too much let's get into my outfits.

Saturday was the main cleaning day so I just went for ultimate comfort.
Ramone tshirt- £3.00 (on sale) Primark
shiny leggings- £16.99 Internacionale
purple with pink polka dot fluffy socks- not sure of price or where from as they were a present but you can get similar from Primark for around £3.00

Today I went out to actually get rid of all the rubbish I had decided to get rid of, so I wanted to look somewhat presentable yet still remain comfortable.
Rolling Stones tshirt: £8.00 Primark
Grey Skinny jeans: very old from Primark a few years ago, they have some similar in store now for around £10.00
Converse: roughly £34.99 Schuh

What have you guys done this weekend?

Thank you for reading

Make Up of the Week featuring the Naked 3 palette

Last week I finally got my hands on the much lusted after Naked 3 palette so you can imagine I have been getting a lot of use out of it, working out what colours look good together and such like.

Time to sit back with a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate what ever you may fancy and have a gander at the looks I have been wearing this week.

Dust all over the lid
Factory over the first half
Blackheart in the outer corner

Mugshot all across the lid
Factory on the outer half
Blackheart in the outer corner and crease

Dust across the lid (be careful with this one there is quite a bit of fallout)
Buzz on the outer third
Darkside in the outer corner

Strange across the lid (this is also used as a highlight with the other looks)
Buzz on the outer third
Nooner in the outer crease

Strange across the lid
Blackheart in the outer corner
Limit in the crease
Please excuse the shoddy eyeliner from this look, my eye started watering something rotten.

Strange over the lid
Limit and Nooner on the outer third
Liar on the outer corner.

Unfortunately there is no image for today as today has been a make up free day.

I will most likely continue to play around with this palette over the next few weeks because there are so many different looks you can achieve with it.

What was your favourite look from this week?

Thank you for reading and I hope you liked seeing the make up looks I have been wearing
